There is so much that you can do and access in the Program and Online Course that it may seem overwhelming at first. I’m here to help you focus on the most important lessons for your specific business, but you can either go through the Course quickly or as dive in as deeply as you want and learn about modern marketing, whether digital or offline. Here are the immediate first steps after approval of your application and payment has been received:

  1. If your application is approved, you’ll receive an email with a link to a page to pay your first month fee and read the Terms & Conditions. You can then schedule our introductory call right away.
  2. You’ll receive an email with your login information to your Client Portal. This is your ‘home base’ for the Program, Messages and where you’ll find Access to the Course and Task Manager.
  3. We’ll set you up to receive access to the Online Course & Task Manager (these will take a day or two to set up). You’ll be able to access the Course and Task Manager through the Program information on your Dashboard once your access information has been posted.
  4. Then you can begin viewing the lessons within the Duct Tape Marketing System by heading to the dashboard.  The lessons are separated into units with individual lessons.  Feel free to move at your own pace and revisit lessons at any time.
  5. You can head over to the webinar page, enroll, and save the dates for upcoming events.

As with any Marketing Mentorship Program, there are simple Terms & Conditions that you’ll agree to before we get started. This is a monthly program so you’re free to cancel anytime.

There are a lot of programs out there that require a full twelve month commitment, but this program is only month-to-month to allow even the smallest businesses to become members. Most members stay in the Program or upgrade to the Complete Mentorship Program and maintain their membership on an ongoing basis to maintain access to ongoing Mentoring, training, webinars and to continue to scale their business.

  • Patience during the 2-3 weeks it takes to research, interview clients, strategize and create your Strategy First Marketing Plan after Discovery process is complete.

Here is the process:

Phase 1 (Client). Timeframe: usually 1-2 weeks depending on how much time you will need to fill out the Review and Discovery forms and gather contact information for 5 clients.

  • Welcome Emails with Next Steps, Links: You’ll receive an immediate Welcome email with a link to a Marketing Review form and a Discovery Form. These will take a little time to complete, but the more thoughtful and thorough the answers the better the outcome of the Marketing Plan will be. Within one business day, you will also receive an email with login information and access to your Client Portal. This Portal will be your hub for your Strategy First Marketing Package (message center, files, package status).
  • Schedule Our First Meeting: The Welcome email will also include a link to schedule the Initial Discovery Call. Please schedule the Call for around 5-7 days out, keeping in mind that we ask that you submit the forms 48 hours before the call so we have time to review the information. If you need more than 3-5 days to fill out the forms, please schedule the Initial Discovery Call for a later date.
  • Your Client Information: We will need contact information (Name, Phone, Email) for up to 5 clients that we can reach out to for the Client Interview portion of the Plan, so you can start gathering that information to send to me by email at brooke@vandermedia.com or upload through the Client Portal. Please let your clients know we will be reaching out to them for an interview and get their approval for us to call.
  • Submit the Forms at least 2 days before Discovery Meeting. You will receive an emailed copy of the filled out forms after submission.
  • Initial Discovery Phone Meeting with Consultant
  • Research & Follow-Up: Following our call, we will schedule the final Presentation and Delivery call and the Total Online Presence Audit research will begin.

Phase 2 (Consultant). Timeframe 2-3 weeks.

  • Total Online Presence Audit research
  • Conduct 5 ideal client interviews
  • Competitive research
  • Develop the Marketing Hourglass based on client touch-points

A few minutes after signing up, you’ll receive your Welcome Email that will include Next Steps and Links to the Marketing Review Form and Discovery Form that we will need in order to start the research part of the program. The Strategy First Marketing Package process usually takes 3-4 weeks. This is generally dependent upon the time needed for you to fill out the Marketing Review and Discovery Forms. Once the forms are filled out, the process takes about 3 weeks for the research and development of your strategic marketing plan.
